Why the quiz

Coffee that meets you where you are.

There are no wrong answers on the Snob Scale. It tells us where you're starting, so we never hand a beginner a puzzle or a Super Snob a starter guide. Whatever your level, what you get from us is pitched at you.

Levels 1–3Your path

The Baby Snob path

For Café Casuals, Café Regulars and Baby Snobs.

  • A brew guide for the kit you already own: cafetière, V60 or AeroPress.
  • One thing to try with every bag, so you level up as you go.
  • Tasting notes in plain English. No jargon, no judgement.
Levels 4–6Your path

The Master Purist path

For Snobs, Super Snobs and the Conscientious.

  • First allocation of every numbered lot.
  • The full lot data: farm, altitude, variety, process and roast date.
  • Who grew it, and how part of the profit gets back to them.

Your level moves as you do. Retake the scale any time.

Every bag is a lot

One farm. One harvest. Numbered.

Most coffee is blended from many farms, so nobody can tell you who grew it. Ours never is. A lot is a single harvest from one farm or one small co-op, kept separate from picking to bag. When it's gone, it's gone, and the next one tastes different.

  • Traceable.Every bag names the farm, the region and how the coffee was processed.
  • Limited.Lots are small, so the list gets first allocation before anyone else.
  • Shared back.Part of the profit from every lot goes back to the people who grew it.
